Homes in Italy is a professional property sales service and was created by Mark Slaviero, a former Director of a UK Chamber of Commerce with business connections and family in Italy. Mark has extensive knowledge of many of the Italian regions, as well as owning a property himself in northern Italy.
The Homes in Italy head office is based in the heart of the UK but we also have an Italian office in Padova (Veneto), which provides advice and support to our clients during the purchase process.
We now have a network of qualified and registered Italian estate agents throughout Italy working with Homes in Italy as partners to help find and secure the right property for our clients.
In 2005 we launched a property rentals service, Holiday Homes in Italy, which specialises in holiday lets, weekend breaks, long-term rentals and now also offers a hotel booking service for Italy.
Owner of the business and an Italian Speaker, Mark is responsible for assisting clients throughout the UK to identify their ideal home in Italy and liasing with our Italian agents. Mark is also involved in marketing and developing key strategic relationships.
Prior to launching Homes in Italy, Mark was a Director of a UK Chamber of Commerce and has also worked overseas in marketing and teaching as well as working for a newspaper and at Polygram in the UK. A graduate of marketing and languages from Leeds University, Mark is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and Institute of Directors.
Mark enjoys a good work out, is addicted to his i-pod, loves liquorice and has a fab Red Setter called Jake. A quiet type, he doesn't like to talk much.
Eliana is responsible for assisting our clients in Italy. She is able to accompany clients on visits if required, organise accommodation and assist with the after sales practical issues of setting up a bank account, arranging utilities, phones and home maintenance. She can also assist relocation covering permits, education, car registration, etc.
Prior to working with Homes in Italy, Eliana has worked in the UK in various export and logistics positions, as well as establishing a translation service.
Eliana loves to Salsa on a Friday evening and loves a good read and a full bodied glass of red wine. She also has great driving skills (especially on the wrong side of the road, in the UK).
Previously responsible for managing a holiday rental operation, Kate has had extensive experience in the hotel and catering industry and has worked for leading hotel, conference and accommodation booking companies. Kate loves to sing in the office (well, most places). She also has a Dalmatian called Molly and likes all things haunted.
Our Sales and Rentals Co-ordinator David is a graduate in Media Communications and Advertising. He studied in South America and previously worked for marketing and advertising companies.
At Homes in Italy, David assists clients with property enquiries and organising viewings as well as booking holidays for Holiday Homes in Italy.
He loves music and playing guitar. He enjoys sports and spends his spare time socialising and surfing the internet. He has a beautiful Neapolitan mastiff called Max. David only eats healthy food and loves to exercise regularly.
Mara deals with contacting Italian property owners and checking availability for clients who want to book a relaxing holiday in Italy. She undertook a second-level degree in Foreign Language with Marketing and Management at the Catholic University of Milan last October. Previously, she worked for her family business in Tirano (Italy) and in a Café in London.
She is very proud of her region (Lombardia) and according to her, it is one of the best places in Italy for skiing and eating good food (especially pizzoccheri and polenta). She is fond of travelling, red wine and good tunes. Mara enjoys a varied diet of Mozzarella and ham paninis every day.
